We booked Zoomcar SUV for two days to go on a Nandi hills trip with friends during the weekend. During the early morning pickup, we found broken back seats, and no test ride was given as per the T&C. As their process is entirely automatic, we did not have anyone to assist us with the booking. Hence, we called the customer care who ensured that the car is in excellent condition just a few damages on the seating area. Our friends were all excited about the trip, so we did not cancel the booking. Reaching Nandi hills, the gear clutch got stuck, and we could not ride further. Though the customer care arranged for the vehicle after 3-4 hours of our waiting period, we got the backup car, which we only paid. Apart from this, we had to pay the INR10,000 amount for gear clutch damages. Enquiring this verbally from taxi services whose car was there, we found this issue was there before, and instead of taking to the service center, Zoomcar listed that car on their platform.
